Dark Side of the Moo
Follow hobby farmer Ivy Galloway and her brilliant-but-bossy border collie, Keats, as they wrangle feisty rescue animals and ruthless killers in rustic Clover Grove.
Sweet life on the farm turns sour when one of the first guests moooves on to greener pastures. Permanently.
If Ivy had never seen her colleagues from Flordale Corporation again, that would have suited her just fine. She’s eager to put her old life as a human resources executive behind her and focus on running her hobby farm and inn. With a recent murder on the property already tarnishing her reputation, however, she can’t afford to be choosy about paying guests. So when her former teammates ask to hold their retreat at Runaway Farm, she throws down the welcome mat and opens the barn doors.
Flordale Vice President Wilf Darby is an insufferable bully who made Ivy’s life miserable, and it looks like her first guest will also be her worst. Still, when Wilf turns up dead in her cow stall, it’s a terrible shock.
The cows are initially on the hook for the crime, but Ivy knows her girls too well to believe that—especially when so many people despised Wilf. It’s more likely that the murderer is continuing to enjoy her hospitality and everything that bucolic Clover Grove has to offer.
At first Ivy agrees to stay out of the investigation at the request of her former flame, police chief Kellan Harper. When her melodramatic mother becomes the next suspect, however, Ivy has no choice but to jump into action with Keats, her know-it-all border collie, and Jilly, her best friend.
Will they be able to find the bad apple on the Flordale HR team before the killer strikes again and Ivy is downsized… for good?
Another fun page-turner in this heartwarming series that’s perfect for animal lovers who dream about buying the farm.
